NEW COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT NEGOTIATION, PROGRESS REPORT.

The Union wishes to inform members that the negotiation between the Union and the Management is currently under way. We had our first negotiation on the 13th January 2009 for half a day. The order of the day was to set out the ground rules on negotiation. We have yet to receive the counter proposal from the management and we were given the assurance that the counter proposal will be forwarded to us by the next negotiation.

The next negotiation will be held on the 12th & 13th of February, 2009. We will keep you posted on the progress of the negotiation from time to time. We request members not to listen to any rumors circulating as this will lead to unhealthy feelings among members.

The above is our official statement on the status of the negotiation. We have not really gone into the details of any articles and as such we do not have much to inform members.

Meanwhile we have also come up with the 2009 action plan. Despite our hectic schedule this year with the new CA and the BGM, we have included activities, which is more members oriented. We wish to reiterate that we will do our best to fulfill these activities and request members to participate in them.

Group Multiple Benefit Insurance Scheme No GS 3492

New EXCO Member
Effective April 2008, Bro. Dunstan Dominic has been appointed EXCO member of the Union. He is replacing Bro Sivaneswaran who has tendered his resignation from the Union to be in the Sales Group.

Relief Fund For Our Member
Massive flood that grip the country especially in Johor and Melaka, brought misery to a lot of people. Two of our members in Melaka were also affected by the turn of event. The Union paid a visit to Taman Melaka Raya Branch to convey our sympathy and provide them some  token to Mr Ow & Mr Ong of Melaka.
