Group Insurance Scheme From UEC 18042009
Our president handing over the cheque.
The demise of our former staff Razali Senik was really sad. He left CIMB during the VSS period. But before that he took our Group Insurance Scheme knowing so well of the benefit it has. He was not well as he had a heart ailment but due to the nature of the insurance, it also reaches out to those who are ill. This is not possible if you take it (Living Care) individually,
When we found out that he had passed away, we contacted his wife informing her of the insurance that her husband had purchased. We made arrangement to handover the cheque.

The amount of RM 64K was handed over to her, the full payout of the scheme. It really took her by surprise on the amount of payout and she was very grateful for UEC for taking the initiative to drive this scheme.
She recollected how her late husband had recently refinanced their house but was unable to take up the MRTA because of his health. The husband had also insured the family under our Group Insurance scheme and she will ensure that there will not be any lapse.
The amount she received will surely help her in a way to settle the debt on the house as well as the children’s education. We took the trouble of informing her details of the scheme extended to her family for her knowledge. As we know these information will be useful for her. We parted our ways with the feeling of self satisfaction that what ever we are doing has benefited those in need.
Some of us take it for granted that we are well and there is no necessity to take any insurance. When the premium is so much less than what is given outside the union are still unable to figure out why many who are still reluctant to take them. Just imagine that a toddler will have to pay more than RM100 where else for the same coverage the premium here is only RM60. Everyone knows that there is a loading amount for anyone who is not well but here there is no such thing.
UEC wish to advise those who have taken them, please extend this scheme to your spouse and kids. There are so many benefits in it and there is no reason for you to deny them this protection. Take Razali Senik’s case as a find example as to why you should enroll yourself to this scheme. It is immaterial whether you are healthy or not, what is important is the protection. Go for it.
