Our members from NS in attendance – get to know as well update on our ca negotiation plus introducing our Group Insurance scheme.

A short meeting with our members in Negeri Sembilan while on our way to Melaka. We had planned a meeting with our members in Melaka on Saturday and on our way there on Friday evening we had a stopover in Seremban. The turnout was more than 30 despite it being a Friday.

The Exco wishes to thank the Negeri Sembilan Area Committee for making this arrangement. And special mention to Mr Shankar for going the extra mile just to do it  within a short period of time.

A short speech from the President and part of the agenda was to reveal the status of our Collective agreement. We proceeded with a light meal and discussed on other matters pertaining to the members.

Next our insurance agent Mr. Peter gave a briefing on the benefits of our Group Insurance scheme. At the end of the day some of our members took up the scheme.

We have set a target for the year end and we are hopeful that the target can be fulfilled. UEC receives 2% of the total premium paid monthly. Currently we are receiving approximately RM1600 monthly and this can be our future source of fund.

We had to stop abruptly as the restaurant was about to close their shop. We had an extension for about half an hour but it could not be prolonged as the restaurant workers were getting restless.

Once again the Exco wish to thank the Area Committee of Negeri Sembilan for making this event possible and the Area Committee will try to hold another meeting with the Exco on a later date. Kudos to them.
