Remember Valentine's Day 2008

14th February 2008 is the official date that the Union has been given a new name. Our new Name : “CIMB BANK BERHAD EXECUTIVE STAFF UNION”.

We have been waiting for sometime, the approval from DGTU for our name change and it was not until this week 17th June 2008 that we received the letter of confirmation from the DGTU. They have backdated the effective date to 14th February 2008 as the official date on the name change. It might have been coincidence that the date fell on Valentine Day. So while remembering this day as a special day towards your love one, please also extend the love to our Union.

We have also gone thru some re branding earlier. We will like to be known as Union Executive CIMB Bank (UEC). Since the DGTU is unable to accommodate our request all official correspondent will need to be with the official name above but we will use “Union Executive CIMB Bank or UEC” for our internal correspondent. We hope this will put things towards the right direction.

We are also coming up with our new logo, which would be finalised within a month or two and we are quite excited on the new logo. The new logo will have the UEC incorporated and looks quite trendy. We will start of in the website once everything is sorted out.

Thanking you for your utmost support. We are getting stronger and by the number of new membership we have surpassed our membership drive target set by our president and by the look of it we are getting a lot more new members every month. This is a good sign for our struggle in the coming years.
